Branko Balon, president of the Croatian-Chinese Friendship Society for Cultural, Scientific and Economic, professor of Computer Science, VSITE College for Information Technology, Zagreb, Croatia, delivered a lecture in China Confucius Research Institute on Feburary 17, titled Civilization Inheritance: Protecting the Spiritual Home of Mankind, which is part of the Qilu Visiting and Research Residency Program. The lecture focused on the issues of what is civilization heritage, threats to the spiritual home of mankind, Confucius spiritual home and civilization inheritance, and how to safeguard our spiritual home of mankind. During the lecture, Prof. Baron also introduced the historical and contemporary civilization exchange and mutual appreciation activities between Croatia and China, and interacted with the experts and the audience on the spot.
