On December 18th, the 9th Joint Conference of National Confucian Associations and seminar “Confucian Revival in the New Millennium” was held via Tencent Meeting.

     The conference was hosted by China Confucius Foundation, Chinese Society of Shixue and the Secretariat of the Joint Conference of National Confucian Associations. More than 200 participants, including leaders of Confucian associations in China and experts from social science institutions in universities attended the conference, with about 160,000 viewers watching the conference through live streaming.

     This conference is a high-level and practical academic event for research and experience exchanges. Participants exchanged their views and experience on the theme “Confucian Revival in the New Millennium”. It is agreed that, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, the Confucian associations should undertake the historical mission of carrying forward the fine traditional Chinese culture and conducting research and dissemination of Confucianism. In doing so, they will contribute to the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional Chinese culture as well as enhancing cultural confidence and building a strong socialist culture.
