The Final Round of the 20th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students in Turkey was held online on the 7th.
The competition was divided into three parts—a knowledge test for Chinese language and China's actual conditions, talent show and theme speech. The knowledge test was conducted in the form of an online test, the talent show by submitting a video of the talent performance, and the keynote speech by live online broadcast, and the final scores were compiled by the judges to determine the final ranking of the competitors.

After a fierce competition, İpek Kayaalp from İstanbul Okan University and Gülsüm ACAR from Erciyes University won first and second places respectively. Chinese Ambassador to Turkey Liu Shaobin attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Shi Ruilin, Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of China in Turkey, and Güner Gürsoy, Vice Rector of İstanbul Okan University, attended the event and delivered speeches. The event was also attended by teachers and students of Chinese language majors and Confucius Institutes of Turkish universities, Turkish Chinese language fans, Chinese and Turkish friends and Chinese and Turkish media.

Liu Shaobin said that the Chinese government has always attached great importance to cooperation with Turkey in the field of education. The two sides are carrying out various forms of exchange and cooperation, such as foreign exchange student programs, visiting scholar exchanges, inter-university exchanges and cooperation in scientific research. With the deepening of exchange and cooperation in various fields between the two countries, Turkish students who know Chinese, understand China and are interested in the cause of friendship between China and Turkey will have more and better development opportunities. He encouraged the students to continue their efforts and seize opportunities to promote friendship and cooperation between the two countries and to contribute to this China-Turkey friendship.
In his speech, Güner Gürsoy, Vice Rector of Istanbul Okan University, spoke highly of the enthusiasm and courage of the competitors participating in the competition beneath the shadow of the epidemic and encouraged the competitors and Chinese language learners to become a link of exchange between China and Turkey and an important force to enhance the friendship between the two peoples.
