"My Chinese name is 'Li' and my Chinese friends said I was their 'long-lost sister'." said Teresa Gabriela Leao, the winner of the final round of the 20th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students in Portugal in her speech.
Teresa Gabriela Leao's Chinese name is Li Lisha. In her speech titled "In the Name of Family", Teresa Gabriela Leao told a touching story about how she and her Chinese friends felt like that they had met before the moment they saw each other. They were not families but more like families during her study in China. "They are my 'Chinese family,'" she said, "We are from different countries, but the Chinese language connects us."
After winning the award, she said that her original intention of participating in the competition was to express her love for Chinese, and this award would drive her to learn Chinese better in the future. Zhou Xuelin, who won the final round of the Tajikistan preliminary, said about the gains of the competition, "Participating in the 'Chinese Bridge' competition is a test of my overall Chinese language level, and a good opportunity to exercise and improve my ability. Abigail from Mexico called on in the speech session of the competition that different nationalities around the world should deepen their understanding of each other and build a better world together, as aroused deep resonance from the audience.
In Abigail's opinion, learning Chinese has helped her understand a larger world and meet more friends. "I hope one day I can become a translator and visit China." He said.

Baboyan Arkady, head of the Foreign Affairs Bureau of the Armenian Ministry of Education said that the "Chinese Bridge" competition has brought us a cultural feast.
