Pakistan Naval Chief Unveils Plague for Chinese Language Lab

On December 27th, 2019, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi, Pakistan Chief of Naval Staff, visited the teaching site of the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi at Pakistan Navy Engineering College and unveiled the Chinese Language Lab. Principle and deans of the college, and Chinese Director Zhang Xiaoping and teachers of the Confucius Institute attended the ceremony.

In August 2019, the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi and Pakistan Navy Engineering College stroke a deal on Chinese teaching at Pakistan Navy Engineering College. The Pakistan Navy, China Shipbuilding Industry Cooperation, and the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi reached a tripartite agreement to improve the Chinese of the Pakistan navy. According to the agreement, the CSIC will donate a Chinese Language Lab for the navy, and the Confucius Institute will provide Chinese language teachers and teachers for management to teach Navy officers on active duty annually.
