Confucius Research Institute Employed Ms Wu Lan as Specially

On November 8th, Confucius Research Institute held specially-invited researcher appointment ceremony, employing the chairman of Nishan International Company of U.S. Ms Wu Lan as specially-invited researcher. The vice secretary of the Party Committee and deputy dean of Confucius Research Institute Mi Huaiyong, deputy dean Liu Xubing and relative scholars attended the ceremony. Mi Huaiyong granted the certificate to Wu Lan on behalf of Confucius Research Institute.
During the appointment ceremony, Liu Xubing introduced the development of Confucius Research Institute in recent years, spoke highly of Wu Lan’s effort and contribution to the cultural exchange between China and U.S. together with the going abroad of Chinese culture. He pointed out that Wu Lan and her agency have a lot of advantages in promoting the overseas spread of Chinese culture, hoping that the two sides strengthen communication and cooperation and promote the spread of Chinese fine traditional culture in the world.

Wu Lan introduced the situation of the English version of The Analects Revisited, which was published by Nishan International Publishing House of U.S. in 2016 and the initial Chinese version was written by the dean and researcher of Confucius Research Institute Yang Chaoming. In addition, Wu Lan promoted the translation and publication of many other Chinese boutique books actively, organized Nishan International Forum, make great efforts in spreading Chinese culture over the U.S.
