The Symposium of “New Material and Traditional Culture Study

     On April 13th, 2019, the symposium of “New Material and Traditional Culture Study Outlook” and Taishan Scholar Forum was held at Confucius Research Institute. Over 70 scholars from 30 universities and scientific research institutes took part in the symposium, and carried out hot discussion around such subjects as the discovery and usage of new material and how to promote the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional culture.
     During the opening ceremony, the unveiling ceremony of the “unearthed document and China Confucianism Research Center of Confucius Research Institute: was held. The member of the standing committee and director of Organization Department of Jining Municipal Party Committee and secretary of the Party Committee of Confucius Research Institute Kong Fanping and director of Chinese Department of Tsinghua University, professor of Unearthed Research and Protection Center Li Shoukui unveiled the nameplate for the center. Kong Fanping awarded the certificate of research center director to professor of Confucius Research Institute Liu Guangsheng.
     Dean and researcher of Confucius Research Institute Yang Chaoming, Ancient History branch of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and general editor of Trends of Recent Researches on the History of China Bu Xianqun, and the executive vice president and general secretary of Chinese Society of Pre-Qin History and researcher Gong Changwei gave speech during the opening ceremony. Deputy dean and associate researcher of Confucius Research Institute presided over the opening ceremony. 
     The thematic speech session came after the opening ceremony, which was divided into two parts.
