On May 21st, 2018, the opening ceremony of the Analects Study Center and Overseas Confucianism Research and Spread Center of Confucius Research Institute and Early Summer Confucianism Symposium was held at Confucian Hall of Confucius Research Institute. The distinguished guests including Bao Pengshan, Tian Chenshan, Guo Yi, Li Runhe, Cheng Qili, Pu Chengzhen, Li Xining, Cheng Jichun and Wang Qinning took part in the symposium. The deputy mayor of Jining city Wu Jiwen, related leaders from the Propaganda Department of Jining Municipal Party Committee, Foreign Affairs Office of People’s Government of Jining City and Qufu city took part in the activity. Over 400 people including the head of Confucius Research Institute Yang Chaoming, deputy dean Liu Xubing, Chen Xiaoxia and all the staff of our institute, and the Chinese culture enthusiasts from all walks of line took part in the activity.
Liu Xubing presided over the opening ceremony. Wu Jiwen, Yang Chaoming, Pu Chengzhen, and Li Xining gave speeches respectively.
Wu Jiwen issued certificates to the director of Overseas Confucianism Research and Spread Center Li Runhe and the director of the Analects Study Center Guo Yi. The vice director of the Propaganda Department of Jining Municipal Party Committee Cao Guang and the director of Foreign Affairs Office of People’s Government of Jining City Li Li issued the certificateds to the vice directors and general secretaries of the two centers Lu Zequan and Wei Yanhua respectively.
Yang Chaoming presided over Early Summer Confucianism Symposium. Guo Yi, Li Runhe, Tian Chenshan and Bao Pengshan gave speeches respectively, discussed around some hot issues, and replied the questions put up by the audience which aroused warm response.
