From October 29th to November 1st, 2017, the first Sinkiang Middle-Age and Young Patriotic Religious People Practice and Teaching Class of Central Institute of Socialism was held at Confucius Research Institute. Dean of Confucius Research Institute Researcher Yang Chaoming and the member of the Party Committee and academic dean of Central Institute of Socialism Professor Li Daoxiang gave speeches respectively. The vice director of Nationality Branch of the Central United Front Work Department Hu Haifeng, director of the United Front Work Department of Shandong province Han Qingxin, vice director of the United Front Work Department of Jining city Liang Jiankun, the vice director of Jining municipal Domestic Progressive Party Wang Lin attended the class. The vice dean of Confucius Research Institute and associate researcher Liu Xubing presided over the opening ceremony of the training class.
After the opening ceremony, the associate researcher Liu Xubing gave the lecture of Xi Jinping’s “Speech in Qufu” and the Rejuvenation of Chinese Culture.
After the lecture, Professor Li Daoxiang and all the trainees inspected Confucius Research Institute, deputy dean Liu Xubing introduced our institute to the guests in detail.
On the morning of October 30th, Researcher Yang Chaoming gave the lecture of Confucius’ Thought and China in All Past Dynasties, illustrating the relationship between Confucius and Chinese society of past dynasties from the four aspects of Confucius’ historical status, the connotation of Confucianism, Confucius and China in past dynasties, and Confucius and the Life Scope.
On the morning of October 31st, the former deputy dean of Confucius Research Institute and researcher Kong Xianglin gave the lecture of the Social Function of Confucian Temple, illustrating the meaning and function of the sacrifice of Confucian Temple.
On the morning of November 1st, the assistant researcher of Confucius Research Institute and the Youth Expert of Shandong provincial Taishan Scholar Wei Yanhua gave the lecture of Mencius’ Thought and Its Significance, illustrating the three aspects of the figure of Mencius, his thought and Mencius’ historical status, starting from the narration of the link and difference between Confucius and Mencius.
This practice and teaching class was organized by the Central United Front Work Department and the Central Institute of Socialism, aiming at studying and implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s series of speeches on Sinkiang work and national religion work meeting, enhancing the religious people’s confidence to the path, theory, system and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics and consolidating the ideological and political foundation for concerted endeavor between Communist Party of China and the religious circle.
